DOCTORAL SCHOOL OFFER
Studying at the Doctoral School is a pathway for the brightest students to pursue a career in research. Studying in the Doctoral School prepares for the academic profession and for work of a research character, broadens knowledge at an advanced level, for the field related to the area
of conducted research, including the latest achievements of science; skills related to the methodology and methodology of conducted research and social competences related to scientific and research activities and the social role of the scholar.
At Wroclaw Medical University you have the opportunity to begin your studies while still in postgraduate internship. Quote taken from the admission regulations: Students of the last year of the second-cycle programme or long-cycle Master's degree programme can apply for the admission process provided they submit a study certificate of current enrolment or graduate diploma. Failure to submit second-cycle studies or Master’s degree long-cycle studies diploma by 30 September 2022 shall result in the removal from the list of doctoral students.

Verification of language proficiency is performed by providing:
a) university studies diploma where education was conducted in English,
b) English language certificate or
c) in the event that the requirements of sec. 7 pt. a or b cannot be met, a successfully passed English language exam.
The exam for the Doctoral School is at B2+ level (this is the level you are at after completing your foreign language course at our university).

The evaluation of a draft research paper consists of:
- originality and innovativeness
- scientific value
- ability to present a draft thesis
- discussion
- feasibility of the project
Candidates for the Doctoral School are scored according to a candidate evaluation questionnaire. Points are awarded for, among othes, exam grades obtained in the course of studies, publications, university session reports, distinctions, scholarships of the Minister, foreign internships, scientific programmes and activities in research clubs. In order to be admitted to the Doctoral School, it is necessary to receive a minimum of 10 points under Criterion 1 3a in the admission process.
